Isn't this ghastly? Dye crayon with concentric circles in purple. Maybe I should just break it and put it out of its misery.

Waxed and dyed black. Better.

A pink egg. As an experiment I placed a stencil about 3/4 of the way down the egg, and hit the entire thing with acrylic sealant. Next I dyed it dark grey. The sealant didn't do what I wanted (I can't really see any of the stencil pattern) but I love the result anyway. Very smoky-looking.

Painted with Versatex ink.

Rubber-stamp embossing powder added to provide texture and sparkle. The Versatex seemed to pick up some soot -- I want to re-Versatex.

A rainbow-hued egg (mainly blue) waxed and dyed Rit Tangerine.

Pink egg dyed brown. It needs accent work, at the very least.

Gods, documentation is a pain. Nothing difficult about this one -- pink egg, spotted, dyed orange, then waxed with thin lines, then dyed brown. Not terribly pretty.

Incredibly bad photo of red egg with purple lines (thickened dy-na-flow) painted on.

Waxed . . .

Then dyed the egg in Rit Sunshine Orange, then Tangerine when Sunshine Orange wasn't cutting it.

After the Rit Tangerine dye.

After the brown dye bath, before wax removal.

Finished egg -- maybe. I wish I had stopped several steps ago.

Blue egg, waxed, then dyed orange. Dotted with more wax, then dyed black or possibly gray. Lacks punch.

Scrubbed lightly with Fantastic to soften apperance. Light coating of light green embossing powder applied. Photo doesn't really do this justice.
