Good Karma Shopping
I had a half-hour to waste today waiting for a store to open, so I ducked into Ross, and almost started break-dancing in the aisles. My china pattern has made it to Ross! The N. Irving store had two plates, both Gentle Beast. Suddenly my dull day turned into a treasure hunt.
I hopped right back in the car and drove across town to the other Ross, where I found twelve more plates! At $1.99 each!!! I have Hitchhiking Angel, Tree House, and the Train Race salad plate. I have enough of 'em that I can use them as everyday plates now, not special-occasion plates. Very excited. I've also checked the Grapevine store (no luck) and Mom checked Eastchase (no luck) and my sisters have promised to check Lewisville and Burleson for me. I have Monday off, and I might spend the morning driving from store to store.
This evening, though, I'm working on eggs. I've made a batch of every dye color I own, and now I'm ready to launch into overdrive.
I'm so glad I'm doing things, instead of sitting around thinking. Thought sucks.
