FHA Inspection

Matt, the FHA Appraiser came today, and looked the house over as best possible. He finished the appraisal, although he left a lot up to his imagination. Very helpful, realistic guy. He realizes that since I’ve lived in the house for such a long time I have a pretty good idea of its flaws.

I have tomorrow to work on getting home owner’s insurance and to clean.

YEAH!!!! I called Becca, and she will come help clean tomorrow. She’ll bring Lily, and then Mom will pick Lily up and baby-sit, which will leave Becca and I un-child-encumbered. Better yet, Dave will bring them in when he comes to work so I don’t have to drive to Grapevine and pick her up! We might actually get something done!!

DOUBLE YEAH!!! R has pretty much decided she can’t use anything from the house, and that it will all have to go in a huge garage sale. I feel great about this – it means she’s finally realizing she can’t possibly deal with all of this, and that it will be easier if she leaves it in my hands. It will be quicker, too. Since R won’t have to go through everything we can have the sale in June after we close on the house.
