Wow. Is this one ugly layout or what? I'm trying to defy my roots by ignoring nice spacing and proportions. I want something a little annoying, maybe a tad edgy. The color scheme buggs the hell out of me. It's very 70s -- avocado, tomato red, polyester-suit brown . . . not something I'd normally try, though lately I've been drawn more to really ugly color schemes, a la Todd Oldhamm and Target. What is wrong? I'm really a conservative Michael Graves-ist at heart. Where did this explosion of tackiness come from? And have I lost my membership in the Ralph Lauren and Martha Stewart Fan Club? I'm playing with navigation, too. The square at the top of the screen has a rollover, but the one to the right is a grab-n-drag, which might be a little too akward. I'll have to save it for seldom-used site features. |
